Our practice is guided by a statement of philosophy which we develop as a team. It outlines our values, beliefs and commitments in an early childhood education setting.
Our Commitments
Child safety is embedded in our culture at Belford Oaks. We are committed to ensuring the safety and protection of all children including those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background, continually educating children about their rights. Educators aim to empower children through active listening and assisting them to develop a sense of belonging and a feeling of safety and security within their environment.

Belford Oaks CCC recognises the high risk of skin cancer in Australia and will undertake and assist families in the following procedures to minimise this risk. The sun protection measures listed below are used for all outdoor activities during the daily local sun protection times (issued whenever UV levels are 3 and above), typically from mid-August to the end of April in Victoria.
