We are a 35 place community based, Not for Profit children’s service which was established in 1988. We are situated amongst oak trees which is fundamental to our name and central to the local community.
We have a Government funded Kindergarten program built into a long day care setting catering for children aged from 6 months to 5 years of age. We are a 35 place centre and have 3 rooms within the centre; the 6 month-2 years room which cater to 10 children a day, the 2-3 years room which also caters to 10 children a day and the kindergarten/3-5 years room which caters to 15 children per day.
Our Educators are qualified in the early childhood industry and pride themselves on their professionalism and are extremely proud of the community that has been created at Belford Oaks.
Belford Oaks is governed by a Committee of Management which consists of parents that utilise the service.
At Belford Oaks we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and this is reflected in our service through our philosophy and curriculum.
As part of our program at Belford we incorporate weekly incursions for the children. We have Hey Dee Ho a music and movement program, Kelly Sports a physical education program once a week and Bella Lingua an Italian language program for the Kinder room.
